ZenoWell at Sleep Europe 2026: Connecting Wearable taVNS with the Future of Sleep Health
Event: Sleep Europe 2026 — The 28th Congress of the European Sleep Research Society
Date: October 20–23, 2026
Venue: Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Centre, Forum 100
Location: Maastricht, the Netherlands
From October 20 to 23, ZenoWell will be in Maastricht for Sleep Europe 2026, the 28th Congress of the European Sleep Research Society.
Sleep Europe brings together clinicians, researchers, sleep specialists, technologists, students and trainees from across Europe and beyond. With more than 3,000 expected attendees and eight scientific tracks spanning sleep medicine, neuroscience, mental health, public health and sleep technology, the congress offers a broad view of how the field is evolving.
ZenoWell will join this international gathering to explore the relationship between sleep, the nervous system and emerging wearable technologies.
Where Sleep Science Meets Nervous System Health
Sleep is not an isolated part of wellbeing. It is closely connected to the nervous system, daily routines, stress responses and the body’s ability to rest and recover.
As sleep research continues to develop, the conversation is expanding beyond sleep duration and basic tracking. Researchers and clinicians are looking more closely at the systems that influence how we transition between alertness, rest and recovery.
This is where ZenoWell’s work begins.
Our technology is built around transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation, or taVNS, a non-invasive approach that delivers gentle electrical stimulation through the ear to engage pathways associated with the vagus nerve.
By bringing wearable taVNS into a sleep-focused environment, ZenoWell hopes to contribute to a wider discussion about how nervous system technology may support more informed approaches to everyday wellbeing.
Experience Wearable taVNS in Person
At Sleep Europe, visitors will be able to meet the ZenoWell team and learn more about our wearable nervous system technology.
A product demonstration offers a different kind of understanding from reading about a technology in a paper or presentation. Visitors can see how the device is worn, learn about the ear-based electrode system and ask questions about the experience, the research and the practical considerations involved in everyday use.
Our goal is not to simplify the science, but to make it easier to approach.
As wearable neuromodulation continues to develop, thoughtful design and clear communication will be increasingly important. People need to understand not only what a technology does, but also how it fits into real routines and real lives.
From Sleep Tracking to Deeper Insight
Sleep technology has made it easier to observe sleep duration, movement, heart rate and other physiological signals. These measurements can offer useful information, but data is only the beginning.
The next challenge is understanding how different signals relate to the nervous system and to the experiences people notice in daily life.
At ZenoWell, we are interested in the space between measurement and meaning. How can technology help people become more aware of their physiological state? How can wearable systems fit into moments of rest, recovery and reflection without adding unnecessary complexity?
These are ongoing questions, and they require continued research, professional exchange and careful development.
Building Connections Across the Sleep Community
Sleep Europe creates an important meeting point for sleep centres, clinical institutions, universities, research partners and technology companies.
For ZenoWell, the congress is an opportunity to connect with professionals who are working across sleep medicine, neuroscience, rehabilitation, digital health and wearable technology.
We welcome conversations around:
- Wearable transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation
- Sleep and nervous system research
- Product and electrode development
- Clinical and research collaboration
- Sleep technology innovation
- Regional partnerships and distribution opportunities
The future of sleep health will depend on collaboration between different disciplines. Progress happens when research, clinical experience, technology and human needs are considered together.
Why Maastricht Matters
Maastricht offers a fitting setting for a congress built around connection. Located at the crossroads of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands, the city reflects the cross-border and collaborative nature of the European sleep community.
Sleep Europe brings together perspectives from more than 75 countries, creating space for new research conversations, professional relationships and international cooperation.
For ZenoWell, being part of this community means listening carefully, sharing our perspective and learning from the people shaping the future of sleep science.
