ZenoWell Founder Presents on Vagus Nerve Regulation and Neurofeedback at ACAN 2026

ZenoWell’s founder was invited to speak at ACAN 2026, the Annual Conference for Applied Neurofeedback, an international gathering of clinicians and researchers working in neurofeedback and applied brain regulation.

The lecture introduced the vagus nerve as a key pathway in autonomic nervous system regulation and explored how auricular stimulation may engage vagal signaling to influence state regulation, including arousal balance, stress reactivity, recovery processes, and broader wellbeing outcomes relevant to mental health.

Drawing on current research and real-world practice insights, the presentation outlined a high-level framework for vagus-focused neuromodulation. Rather than prescribing fixed protocols, the session emphasized:

• Individual variability in autonomic regulation

• The importance of personalization

• Iterative adjustment from a closed-loop perspective

• Adaptive tuning in response to physiological feedback

The talk also briefly connected vagus nerve modulation with Infra-Low Frequency Neurofeedback (ILF NF), highlighting areas of conceptual overlap in supporting self-regulation while clarifying that these approaches operate through distinct modalities.

Looking forward, the session outlined potential directions for structured evaluation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and deeper exploration of closed-loop autonomic regulation strategies.
